Our club owns an old military airbase, located about 80km South of Berlin. This spot is called "Altes Lager", and great for crosscountry flying in the flatlands. We do winchtowing with stationary winches. With sandy underground, Altes Lager provides good thermal lift capabilities. Best XC opportunities for East and West wind directions, North is also possible. In case of Southern wind directions you'll have to work around the huge airspace above Berlin, which can be quite tricky.
